What is a contactless Wedding Photo Booth?
Well, it’s going to be a game-changer for weddings in 2021!
Firstly, let me ask you a question… How do you engage all of your guests during the, how do we say…erm after wedding breakfast Lull?
We’ve all been there, it’s an amazing wedding, we all look forward to that delicious meal, and then straight after, we need a little nap! Well, here is a really cool supplier that will get all of your guests back on their feet and having a great time!
I present to you… The Snap Booth!
This month I got to sit down (socially distanced and via zoom) with the lovely Becca from The Snap Booth and here’s a little snippet from our conversation!
Who are you and what do you do?
Hi I’m Becca and me and my partner run a company called The Snap booth and we are based in Cambridge and supply to Cambridgeshire and the surrounding areas.
Favourite childhood TV Show? –It’s got to be Byker grove, it’s cheesy but I loved it. And of course Rugrats too!
What is your slogan for life? – “The World is your Oyster” – make the most of everything and I would also say “Not all those who wander are lost,” from Lord Of The Rings.
If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? – I did a lot of travelling after Uni so I would say I am quite travelled but I would like go to New Zealand or Canada!
How did you get into the wedding industry?
Whilst attending my brother's wedding a few years ago, he had a photo booth that looks similar to what we now offer and I thought it was incredible! I was probably hogging the booth the entire night and I had never seen anything like it. It was a lot of fun and the guests were still talking about it after the wedding. So I did some research into the booths and it all happened very quickly, and this eventually developed into the idea for The Snap Booth!
So what is The Snap booth?
The Snap Booth is an open-air photo booth that creates a unique & luxury experience. Our booths are hand-crafted and made out of real oak by a skilled master craftsman from Yorkshire. The booths have a truly exclusive, modern, and vintage feel, perfect for any venue and event, our booths not only look beautiful from the outside but they create the very best photos all from within. With our professional beauty dish lighting, every guest in every photo will look absolutely stunning.
What’s the difference between Snap Lite or Snap Booth Deluxe?
We have two booths, The Snap Lite & The Snap Deluxe. The Snap Lite booth stands at around 6 feet and is a super portable, sleek, and stylish photo booth. This digital-only photo booth enables guests to share the images and videos instantly by text and email all from the media kiosk on the back of the booth. The Lite can record exciting boomerang videos and fun images to share straight away with friends, family & colleagues and the digital photo cards can be personalised with your theme and event in mind, all as part of the package. After the event, the images are put onto an online password protected gallery for you and your guests to have unlimited access to.
The Snap Deluxe is our slightly taller booth standing at around 7 feet. It has a retro and vintage feel and certainly stands out from the crowd. It has a professional beauty dish to aid lighting which ensures that every guest in every photo will look their very best. The interactive touch screens are easy to use which enables guests to reprint and share the images. Like The Snap Lite, the photo cards can be personalised with your wording and theme in mind as part of the package and are something special for your guests to take away with them.
After the event, the guests have unlimited access to an online password protected gallery so that they can look back at the photos and share them with others. Different from The Snap Lite, The Snap Deluxe offers instant and limitless printing!
What services do you offer?
For our wedding packages, we offer a 4-hour hire which includes a luxury leather photo album. Whilst all guests at the booth will receive their own print, during the wedding our attendant will also place a second print in the photo album for guests to write their own lovely messages to the married couple. This means that not only will the couple get all the digital prints, but they also take away an album too which is a perfect little keepsake. We also offer packages for private parties too which can be found on our website.
How have your services adapted with the current government guidelines?
We have about 10-20 boxes of some amazing and quirky props. From doughnut cushions to big flamingo glasses! With the current guidelines we would bring a reduced number of props to the wedding to meet restrictions. For example, we have a lot of signs but we can simply clean them after each use.
We have also implemented a contactless system for our booths to make sure that we restrict the handling of the booth and that we are compliant with COVID-19 regulations. When you approach the booth you simply scan a barcode with your phone and enter your name and email. Once entered, you hold your phone to the camera and the booth recognises the phone and starts a countdown to take a picture. Once the photos have been taken, the pictures are automatically sent to the guest’s phone to enjoy! We are really looking forward to using this at our next event.
Advice for couples wanting to book you?
It’s always great to know the timings of your day as we usually allow for around 1 to 1.5 hours to set up the booths for the event.
For a wedding, we typically start around 7 pm and with a 4 hour hire time, this is a great part of the day to have the booth as it’s the peak of the entertainment for the wedding.
We also offer unlimited prints so guests can rest assured there are plenty of photos to have!
Lastly, what top tip would you give couples currently planning their wedding?
Because of how busy 2021 is and suppliers are getting booked up really quick with 2020 postponements. I would certainly allow enough time to research and find out about lots of different suppliers, look further afield if you can’t find a local supplier as there are so many suppliers in the wedding industry that are on hand to help out for your special day. Do lots of research.
